Letter For Dressember is back!
Friends, #LetterForDressember is back for 2018! My co-host Amy and I are excited to bring the challenge back again this year, and make it bigger and better. Check out all the new prompts and keep reading for the details; we hope you and your friends can join us this December!
What's new this year?
Besides 31 brand new prompts, we are encouraging creatives of all kinds to join us. Feature each day's prompt in your creation, or use the prompt to inspire your piece, regardless of your preferred art form. Whether you are an artist, calligrapher, photographer, or graphic designer, we hope you will use your creative talents to help us raise awareness.
How do I participate in #LetterForDressember?
Instagram is our go-to social media platform, so we recommend joining us there! The best way to ensure your posts are visible is to share them from a public account, or to make your account public for the duration of the challenge.
Create one piece per day that corresponds with the prompt for that day. When you share it, make sure to use the hashtag #LetterForDressember. You can also tag us @cozyreverie and @elm_creative. If creating a piece per day is too much, feel free to join the challenge as much as possible, or catch up at any time. You may also see your creations featured elsewhere around Instagram, so keep an eye out!
What if I'm already participating as a Dressember advocate? Or what if I'm not?
We want to encourage you to use #LetterForDressember to help you advocate for Dressember. One way to do this is to use your creations to help leverage donations. You can sell your pieces, allow donors to claim their favorites, or host an auction. If you don't want to do that, you can use your creations to promote the cause and your fundraising page on social media.
If you decide to participate as a Dressember advocate, the best way to collect donations is to create an official fundraising page at dressember-2018.funraise.org. If you participated last year, you can log in with your username and password. With a Dressember fundraising page, you can collect donations securely, allow others to track your progress, and watch your donations combine with others' in the overall total.
